Privacy notice

In one sip

No ads. We never sell your data. Your location stays on your phone. We watch how the site is used, not who you are, so we can make it better.

What we see when you visit

We use PostHog to see which pages people open and what they tap. It sets a cookie so it can tell a new visitor from one who came back, and it can guess your city from your internet address. It may also record what happens on screen (scrolls and taps) so we can spot what's confusing. Anything you type in a box is hidden in those recordings.

Your location

When you tap "Near me", your phone works out how far each café is. Your location is never sent to us or anyone else. Our map is drawn from OpenStreetMap data we host ourselves.

Kept on your phone

Your browser remembers your city, light or dark mode, the café sounds, your café hop and a few tips you closed. Clear this site's data in your browser and it's all gone, the PostHog cookie too.

If you add a café or a note

You paste the café's Google Maps link and we read its name from Google. You sign in with a link we email you, no password. We keep your email address, the name you choose, the notes and cafés you send, and your café hop, so it follows you to any phone. Your name shows with your notes; your email never does.

If you join the OOO Club

We keep your first name (so the Friday email can say hi), your email address, your member number, what you agreed to and when, and the page you joined from. That's it. We use it only for the Friday email. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and "Leave the club" on your member page deletes you straight away. If you never confirm, we delete your sign-up after 30 days.

Who helps us run this

Want to see or delete your stuff?

Message @coffee.devout on Instagram. We'll sort it out within 30 days. A content blocker stops the visit stats completely, and that's fine with us.
